DISCOUNT RATES

Percentage discounts are routinely applied against our normal hourly rates, for many tasks in the winter “off-season”. Tasks likely to attract cheaper rates in winter include hedge-trimming, pressure-washing, weeding, one-off cuts to long grass, etc.

SNOW CLEARANCE & SALT SPREADING

We’ve been gritting and snow-clearing since 2007.  When forecasts dictate, we head out in the wee-small hours, and plough and/or salt car-parks, paths and steps, meaning your staff and customers can visit your premises without undue risk. Click here for more details.

HEDGE-PRUNING

Hedge-trimming is also a summer activity, but winter is the time to prune or renovate an overgrown deciduous shrub. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

Pruning evergreens can mean timing the work carefully, and in some cases not pruning too harshly, so as to avoid frost damage to the plant. There’s some good advice here on how best to time pruning of evergreens.

MOSS, LICHEN & ALGAE CONTROL

We can help you to control moss, lichen & algae on hard surfaces, and within turf.

We use both mechanical and chemical means of control. Chemically-treated areas are normally safe for pets and children, but we recommend that efforts are made to keep them off the treated area for an hour or so following application.  For more details about our hard-surface treatments, click here.

LAWN RENOVATION

Sometimes it takes a little more than simply mowing the lawn regularly to keep it in good condition.

If you’re not happy with the general condition of your lawn, we’ll be pleased to do what we can to help improve its health and appearance. We can reduce infiltration of weeds & moss, improve drainage & aeration, flatten out bumps, cut back the edge where it meets borders, and so forth.
